Seneca Creek

I started this sketch on Sunday sitting in my chair on a sand bar in the middle of the creek but I couldn't take the cold (last year I could but this year...ugh!!) so I took a photo and finished the sketch at home....ahh!! warmth!!!

This is a portrait of my parents done from a very old photo, probably around 1942 vintage.

Schaeffer Rd.

This is a sketch looking form Schaeffer Rd in Montgomery Co. Md. The 9"x12" sketch took about two hours to draw. It was a very nice warm sunny day.

Linden Farm

I've painted this dairy barn before. It is a spectacular white structure when seen on a sunny day. Today was no exception while I sketched this view.

Color pencil drawings

I've started using pastel paper for these prismacolor pencil drawings. I like the colored grounds. The subjects are familiar places and so titled. I think it would be really cool to be able to letter well. That is an art in itself and one I'm not too good at...haha!!

Maddie and Annie (portraits)
